Hello and Welcome to my new Blog!

I plan to use this blog to update you on news from Dunham Lake Aussies at least monthly.

Plus any important matters concerning dogs health, proposed legislation changes that have an impact on our dogs, news worthy topics. If you have a topic you would like to share with other Aussie people, drop me an e-mail at theresaagoiffon@msn.com

Fall, our favorite time of year here in Northwestern Wisconsin.  Soon coming to an end are nice sunny days, a bit of a wind and the colors of the leaves are breath taking.  It's a busy time of year for us too as we prepare for winter.

The rain that we so desperately needed all summer, has been making up for it the last few weeks.  Not great when you have aussies that don't want to get their feet wet!  As we stand out in the rain with them I can't help but wonder, who has trained who?!

October was a very exciting month for show News:
  • Ellie our 10 year old Junior Showman, finished her dog Dakota to her Championship. She had a very good 4 day show in Rapid City South Dakota. Dakota (our female) took two majors that weekend.
  • Kaih came in reserve winner to a major as well.
  • Lydia with her Australian Shepherd Molly, took reserve winner to a major, her first significant win! It was very exciting!
  • Ellie came in 1st place Junior two out of four days!
  • Ellie showed one of our friends aussie, Luna and came in reserve winner to a major!
  • I showed for the first time and took a major with Dakota.

We met really great Aussie people and made some life long friends at this show.  We toured South Dakota, visited Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Custers National Park, just to name a few. It was a really great trip!

It's been a great year for us, but I'll save the recap for my December News.

We are excited about our upcoming litter due mid December, more details to come on this.

At this time of Thanksgiving, we have much to be thankful for, our family, friends and of course our wonderful Aussies!

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
