Reserve Best in Show!
AND
Best in Show National Owner Handler
A HUGE thank you to Group Judge Gloria Geringer,  Best in Show Judge Ann Hearn and to Group and
Best in Show Judge Karen Hynek.

Beautiful Terrier Group line up and a Group 3 win for Jake at the St. Croix Kennel Club over 170 Terriers entered. A huge thank you to Judge Mr. Wood Wornall for this placement and all the amazing compliments you shared with us.
What an honor to win under such an experienced Terrier judge who also know his Australian Terriers!

Home from the 5 day 20 hour drive from our home in Wisconsin to Pennsylvania which included a National Specialty one day and the Montgomery County Terrier show.

Our dogs and breeding was well represented. We are pleased with our results on Friday at the Hatboro show, during the designated National show BIS BIS/NOH GCH Ch Dunham Lake Unanimous Decision "Jake" won breed and a new title Best in Show Specialty (BISS) with 20 Australian Terriers entered, the largest entry that weekend. A huge thank you to Judge Mrs. Pamela Peat who was an excellent judge and certainly knows our breed.

Morris and Essex was an amazing event that happens only once every five years and it is really a special show. There were roughly 4500 dogs entered, I believe the largest dog show in the USA. Our girl Gch Ch Dunham Lake Touched by an Angel "Gabby" shown by our dear friend Tina Nordren won Best of Opposite under Judge Mr. Seymour Weiss. We didn't win breed that day, but he was an excellent judge as well and knows terriers that's for sure. He was very complimentary of the Australian Terriers and knows the history of our breed having judged them when they first entered the ring back in the 60's.
Montgomery was a disappointment to us not winning breed this year, it would have been our third Montgomery win in a row, under Judge Connie Clark. We did however, win Best of Opposite and Best Bred by as well as Select with both Gabby and Jake. Our little boy Edward also won Reserve in his class. Jake went on to the Best Bred By group to get a first cut, but did not place.

The weather was terrible, these are outside shows for the most part and the rain just would not stop. The Devon show was cancelled due to all the rain.

Our family has been actively showing Australian Terriers since 2008. My daughter's show our own dogs and compete in open competition as well as junior handling. We strive to breed Australian Terriers that meet the standard, with health and temperament being the utmost importance.

We have breed Multi- Best in Show, two different Bred-By Aussies BIS, Record holding Reserve Best in Show, Multi-Group placing, Champions and Grand Champions. #1 Breed, All-Breed and National Owner Handler Series:  BIS BIS/NOH Dunham Lake Unanimous Decision "Jake"

2014 and 2013 Best of Breed at the worlds largest Terrier show Montgomery County. Two different dogs bred by Dunham Lake Aussies.

A second bred by Dunham Lake Australian Terrier dog, Jake wins his first Best in Show in November 2014 with his breeder/owner/handler 15 year old Ellie (right). Jake is only the 2nd "red" Australian Terrier to ever win a BIS!

At the  2013 Australian Terrier National Specialty, 3 of our bred by Australian Terrier's received high honors...Winning Best of Opposite Sex,  Best of Winners, and an Award of Merit, these top winning placements with over 80 Australian Terriers represented. That is quite an accomplishment.

We are very proud of the many accomplishments of our home bred Aussies. Jake is our second Australian Terrier we have bred to achieve a Best in Show. Our first Best in Show is co-owned Aussie and two time Best in Show Winner and Grand Champion Dunham Lake Scoutmaster "Scout" owned by: Tim and Jane Steinmetz.  He has maintained the #1 All-Breed ranking  though out 2013 and 2014 as well as the previous two years he was in the top 5 Australian Terriers in Breed and All-Breed.  Currently has been awarded a Best in Show and 7 Reserve Best in Show awards (he continues to hold the record) as well as 17 Group 1 placements and many other Group wins. Our boy Grand Champion Dunham Lake Unanimous Decision "Jake" ended the year 2014 ranked # 2 in All-Bred and #2 in Breed and #3 in the Owner/Handler Series.

He is always shown by his breeder/owner/handlers
